I'm Sirius, your favorite big-tongued trick dog! Sirius was named after the dog star, the brightest star in the sky. Over the last nine years, she’s done just that, shining a light so bright not just in my life but across the internet, touching more people than I ever imagined. Sirius started her life with me in NYC, charming people as a little puppy, discovering sandy beaches, and at puppy classes to our new life together on the West Coast, complete with all sorts of adventures!

You've been with us through it all, knee surgery and rebuilt dreams. You have loved Sirius and all her adventures and now you can bring home your own cuddly Newfoundland plushie toy!
In her life, Sirius has accomplished many things; she is the first Grand Champion Trick Newfoundland, and she is the four-time #1 Newfoundland winner in the American Kennel Club National Trick Dog Competition. Sirius has earned titles in Trick Dog, Rally Obedience, Fit Dog, and Scent Work, but most of all she has been the shining light of my life on good days, and through difficult ones. Sirius has experienced a number of medical challenges. She tore ligaments in both of her knees before her second birthday and went through a major knee reconstruction surgery (TPLO) and recovered beautifully to go on and participate in her favorite sports and activities. Sirius also has a significant neurological condition but thanks to her incredible wrap-around supportive vet team she’s beaten the odds and is living a happy and comfortable life as a senior dog! She still insists she’s not done and demands daily training time just like she has since she was a young puppy! On a personal level Sirius is my best friend - she’s inspired me to begin working full-time with dogs and has taught me so much about dogs and dog training.
Sirius is best known for her giant tongue, and even bigger personality. Sirius loves to share her adventures and positive attitude with all of her online friends, reminding all of us that even on dark days, to keep our hope shining brightly just like her namesake, Sirius the dog star.
